Sweet Revenge or, just a happy accident? You decide.

I have some sweet news to share with you. We have just released a new flavor, for a limited time. I always imagined that we would come up with other flavors and as I’ve talked to folks that purchased our tasty snack bites, I kept coming back to sweet. And, as we started to realize how much the Margot’s Morsels Simply Sea Salt contributed to desserts, it seemed like a natural next step to do a sweet version of morsels. Introducing Margot’s Morsels Sassy Cin’Mon Sugar!

Sassy Cin'Mon Sugar morsels

I have such fond childhood memories of cinnamon sugar toast. It was a little like having weekend breakfast during the week. My mom used to keep a sugar bowl with the combination of sugar and cinnamon at the ready for morning toast with a slather of butter melted over warm toast straight from the toaster.

We have been testing the balance of this combination of flavors and adjusting our bread recipe to bring you this sweet treat. When we finally got it, there were lots of sugary faces and fingers in the kitchen. I can see having a handful with a cup of tea or coffee in the morning.

Or, as a replacement for kettle corn on movie night. Or, how about a drizzle of tempered chocolate as a quick treat or dessert – the possibilities are endless. Wait, who am I kidding? It’s more likely to be a bowl of hot fudge or butterscotch sauce and Sassy Cin’Mon Sugar morsels as dippers in my house.

Don’t miss out on these sweet little beauties because we’re making these as a special flavor, for a limited time. Since it isn’t part of our regular production, I don’t know how long they’ll last. Come and get them while they’re still available. I’ll keep them on the website for at least a month but I can’t promise they’ll be around longer than that. So, COME AND GET “EM!

I’ll continue to post recipes for my own family but, as always, if you’d like me to cover something else, or just give want to give me feedback, please do it at info@margotsmorsels.com. I’ll continue to tell you what’s happening in my kitchen and coax my husband, Milt, to guest blog on his baking adventures.

If you are in the San Francisco bay area, come to the farmer’s markets in the North Bay Area and look for us. Right now we’re in Mill Valley and Marin Country Mart in Larkspur.  I would love to meet you and find out how you use morsels. Don’t forget to Get Your Crunch On!
